Something I Can't Imagine

Can you imagine what your Christian life would be like without having a Bible nearby? I certainly can't. I have one nearby everywhere I go -- because I can -- and, more importantly because I need it. It is my go-to resource for life, truth, wisdom, hope, encouragement, spiritual renewal, and so much more.

And that's why I find it hard to imagine how new converts to Christ in Muslim strongholds of the Middle East keep their faith growing without access to the Word of God.

Convert...Or Die!

On May 26, 2017 — almost exactly one year ago — ISIS gunmen in Egypt opened fire on vehicles carrying Christians to Friday services at a monastery. The vicious attack, which occurred on the first day of Ramadan, injured 23 and killed 29. Elderly believers and children were among the dead.

One of our Christ-centered partners in the Middle East recently spoke to the family of a husband and father murdered in the terror attack. The man's 10-year-old son witnessed the execution. "The terrorist shouted he had to convert to Islam," the boy recalled.
